Dr. Posson is the founder and medical director of The Doctor is In!! Center for Family Medicine in Shell Beach, California. He is a member of the medical staffs of Marian Medical Center in Santa Maria and Arroyo Grande Community Hospital in Arroyo Grande, California.
Dr. Posson is licensed to practice medicine in California and Colorado and is board certified in family practice by the American Board of Osteopathic Family Practice. Dr. Posson is a member of the teaching faculty for the Western University of Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific. In that community-based setting, he trains medical students, interns, and residents. Dr. Posson also serves on a local medical utilization review board to promote cost effective healthcare utilization practices.
My purpose as a physician is to teach others. This involves teaching other professionals as well as teaching patients how to heal. I teach them by engendering trust and confidence and by maintaining the highest levels of service, competence, knowledge, accommodation, and integrity.
